Official: EU to discuss prolongation of anti-Russian sanctions Jun
KIEV, Apr 15 (PRIME) -- The E.U. will be discussing the prolongation of anti-Russian sanctions in June, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics said at a forum on Friday.
“The question of the prolongation of sanctions against Russia. We will be discussing this issue in June,” Rinkevics said.
Rinkevics said that he supports the extension of the sanctions’ term because the Minsk agreements on peace in Ukraine are not being fulfilled.
The current order on economic sanctions against Russia will be in force until July 31.
Separately, the E.U. rolled over the blacklist of Russian and Ukrainian officials and organizations over the Ukrainian conflict until September 15 in March.
